SAM News:
- Four students; Jennifer Bowden, Kristy Clabaugh,
Carly Hutchison, and Michael Ivie
attended the 2009 SAM International Business Case Competition (March 22-25,
Las Vegas, Nevada) and they are the award winner in undergraduate division
(third place) among more than 40
universities. Adetola Ogun was the fifth member of the team. Congratulations!
- Semi-annual
Fundraising Giveaway was completed.
Drawing was held on December 4, 2008 at 6:30pm, in University Center 331
and the winner were notified by phone on Tuesday December 9th.

UC331(University Center), on Thursday, 10/30/08.
- Three students; Steven Gabel, Michael Ivie, and Heather Crumbley
attended the 2008 SAM International Business Case Competition (April 3-6,
Arlington, Virginia) and they are the award winner in undergraduate division (third place) among 37
universities. Congratulations!

General interest meeting, 12:30PM, Wednesday, 11/14/07 at B14 (Lecture Hall)
The agenda is to outline the goals of the organization and focus on some of next semester's activities.
We will also be soliciting volunteers to sell tickets for fundraising.

SAM Chapter Places 3rd in 2008 Competition
On Saturday, April 5, 2008, the CSU Chapter of the Society for
the Advancement of Management placed third in the undergraduate
students’ division competition for the James Rutherford Trophy. The
competition was held during the 2008 SAM International Business
Conference in Arlington, Virginia. The team consisted of Heather
Crumbley (Accounting major), Steven Gabel (Management major), and
Michael Ivie (General Business major). Advisor, Dr. Lari Arjomand
and Co-Advisor, Reza Kheirandish led the Clayton State University
delegation to the conference.

Homecoming:
Two of the officers/members ran for the homecoming King and Queen (Joshua Rochester and Florencia Hernandez). Florencia Hernandez made it to the court and became the 1st runner up.

SAM was announced as the student organization that raised the most money in Penny Drive to raise funds to donate to "A Friends' House" Children's Shelter.
