This
Admission Process to the School of Business only applies to the
following students:
- Students
admitted to Clayton State for the first time in the Fall Semester
2003;
- Current
Clayton State students wishing to change their current major to the
B.B.A; and
- Students
returning after not being enrolled at Clayton State
for two or more years.
This
Admission Process does not apply to current or continuing students who
were enrolled in the School of Business prior to the 2003-2004 Academic
year. |
Admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Program
Fall 2003
Students intending to enroll in the B.B.A. Program must
meet all the general admissions requirements for the University.
In addition, the following School of Business requirements must be met
prior to admission to the B.B.A. Program.
a.
Have an overall institutional Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
(If no CCSU GPA is available, the decision will be based on transfer grades)
and,
b.
Satisfactorily completed 60 semester credit hours and,
c.
Satisfactorily completed Area F business courses with a grade of “C”
or higher in all courses and,
d.
Satisfactorily completed MATH 1231with a grade of “C” or higher and,
e.
Obtain a GPA of 2.28 in the six Area F business courses and MATH 1231
(for purposes of this GPA calculation, transfer and transient grades count and
grades of K will be counted as equivalent of C).
f. Successfully complete (or be exempt
from) both parts of the Regents' Test (Essay and Reading).
Note:
Students planning to receive the B.B.A will be admitted to CCSU as
pre-business majors. Upon meeting the School of Business admission requirements,
pre-business majors will be required to apply for admission to one of the four
School of Business majors (Accounting, Management, Marketing or General
Business). Application deadlines
will be the same as they are for general admission to CCSU.

here or in Room C-11-M of the School of Business, or you may call
or visit the Office of Student Advisement.
Students will be notified of acceptance by formal letter and by email.
Transfer Students. Students who transfer from other institutions of higher
learning will be required to meet the same criteria for admission as CCSU
students.
Student Recourse. Students who fail to meet the criteria for admission may
elect to retake selected courses and reapply for admission to the School of
Business.
