Clayton State University School of Business

Bud & Mary Miller Recognition Fund

The Bud & Mary Miller fund honors Dean Miller’s decade-long leadership of the School of Business and the generosity of Bud and Mary Miller in their contributions to The School of Business at Clayton State University.  Under Dean Miller’s leadership, The School Business attained accreditation from AACSB-International in April 2006, a status less than 15 percent of schools of business worldwide have been able to achieve. Another milestone for The School of Business was reached when it received permission from the Board of Regents to launch the MBA program in fall 2007. The third milestone for the School under Dean Miller’s leadership is the construction of the new building for the Business School which is scheduled to be completed in summer of 2008. The three achievements have totally transformed the School and have made it a jewel of Southern Metropolitan Atlanta.

Dean Miller’s belief has always been that by attracting, retaining, and developing qualified, dedicated, and talented faculty and staff the School can enhance the quality of programs and services and thus transform itself. He has been able to do just that. This fund will be to further his passion of attracting, retaining, and developing talented people to The School of Business. The goal is to raise $1 million for the Bud and Mary Miller Recognition Fund. Within the fund, there will be possibilities to set up separate funds that are named for the donor(s).
