Clayton State University School of Business

Admission to the School of Business

Students intending to enroll in the B.B.A. program at Clayton State University must meet all University admission and academic requirements. In addition, applicants must satisfy the following additional requirements in order to be admitted to the B.B.A. program:

  • overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00,
  • minimum of 45 semester credit hours,
  • completion of all Area F courses (ACCT 2101, ACCT 2102, ECON 2105, ECON 2106, CPTG 2201, and BLAW 2106) with grades of C or higher,
  • completion of MATH 1231 with a grade of C or better,
  • 2.28 GPA or higher in Area F courses and MATH 1231,
  • passed both parts of the Regents’ Test, and
  • completion of an Application for Admission to the School of Business.

Students who plan to pursue a B.B.A. degree will be admitted to Clayton State as a pre-business major. Upon meeting the aforementioned requirements, pre-business students are eligible to apply for admission to the School of Business. This is done by completing the Application to the School of Business, which includes declaring a major in management, marketing, accounting, or general business. Students admitted into the School of Business will be notified of acceptance by a formal letter.

Students may repeat courses that were not satisfactorily completed and that disqualified them from admission subject to the University’s course repeat policy. If a student elects to repeat such courses and receives grades that meet the above criteria, the student may reapply for admission to the B.B.A. program.
